The Nkwala Mountain Trail is a good work out for both hikers and mountain bikers. Although many mountain bikers start biking from areas long before the trail usually along the KVR. Otherwise hikers can access the summit from relatively close to the parking area so to take advantage of the views quickly.
The Nkwala Mountain Trail is a short climb up to the Nkwala Saddle where there are spanning views of the community of Penticton and overlooking Trout Creek. Trek further up the road to the forestry tower at 3343 feet where more views area of the Okanagan Valley.
How to Get to Nkwala Mountain Trail:
The Nkwala Mountain Trail is near Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Follow Hwy #97 into Penticton from the north and turn right on Bartlett Rd. Turn left on Rifle Range Rd. A gravel pit will appear, drive past it and immediately turn left. Go through a tight valley and steep road on your right appears. Park here and start hiking up the steep forestry road.
