Kaloya Regional Park
is a 3.7 hectare community park
on the shores of Kalamalka Lake in the community of Oyama, BC.
The community is part of Lake Country which is located in the
North Okanagan Valley. The well maintained public park is a popular
destination on Kalamalka Lake for picnicking, swimming, special
events and birdwatching.
Kaloya Park is a day use park situated on a peninsula
with lake views on both sides. The regional park includes two
small sandy benches, picnic tables, gazebo, large grass lawns
and viewing benches. Amenities in the park include a washroom
and a small playground for children.
From the shores of the Kalamalka Lake there are
views of Lake Country homes, floating docks, passing houseboats
and canoes. The flower gardens add more red, blue and yellow colors
to the park. It is no surprise Kaloya Park is a favorite for locals
for wedding events and wedding pictures.
The park is not open during the winter months.
Dogs are not permitted in the park, nor is camping, fires or smoking.
How to Get to Kaloya
Park: Travel
north along Highway #97 (35 minutes from Kelowna) to the community
of Oyama, BC. In the community turn right onto Oyama Road and
then turn left onto Trask Road. Continue to the end of the road
and the paved large gravel parking lot.
