Westbank (Westside),
British Columbia is a commercial
and agricultural hub situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake,
located across the big bridge just south of Kelowna, BC.
The commercial district of Westbank is up on
a hillside shouldering both sides of the highway. Below the
highway, is Okanagan Lake and a hillside decorated in wineries,
orchards, regional parks and residential neighbourhoods.
The community is ideal for travelers because
of the many commercial services and large parking lots located
on the highway. Some of the services in Westbank available to
travelers include accommodations, restaurants, gas stations,
banks, laundromats, grocery stores, coffee shops, internet,
RV repairs and much more.
The lakes, parks and trails in the region
attract many to the area for fun. Two of the bigger parks in
the region, which are popular for outdoor activities, are the
Fintry Provincial Park and Mt.
Boucherie Park. If a park with history is your preference
than visit the Gellatly Nut Farm.

boating, parasailing, wind surfing, houseboating, swimming,
canoeing and kayaking, sailing, camping, hiking, mountain biking,
horseback riding, birdwatching and fishing.
The winter season is also an activity filled
time of year in the region. Downhill skiing, ice fishing, snowboarding,
cross country skiing and snowmobiling are the popular winter
activities. The ski hills in the area include Big
White, Crystal Mtn.,
Apex Mtn. and Silver
Star.
